It is amazing that such a tiny speck of a Caribbean island in the BWI (British West Indies), a mere 35 square miles, could have so much sand!

 

Anguilla the right place to unwind and spend your bestbeachvacations. Anguilla boast over 30 powder white sand, stunning beaches, each with its own personality and appeal, which makes it unique. Do not just see these Anguilla beaches, walk, swim, snorkel, and snooze on them. Anguilla beaches have so much to offer everyone... warmth, sunshine, peace, parties, picnics.

Roast and laze in abeachchair, or snorkel until your feet cramp (remember to put sunscreen all over your back!). Anguilla Beaches are among the most beautiful in the Caribbean. Anguilla is, simply put, abeachlover’s paradise! The powdery white sand beaches, aqua blue seas and incredible sunsets. There is nothing like being lull to sleep by ocean waves every night.

WINDWARD POINT

The island’s most remote beach, this location with a diversity of marine life, offers great photo opportunities. Thebeachis broad, sandy and steep and has very heavy large breakers and an undertow. Good walking.

 

SAVANNAH BAY

A calm and narrowbeachdotted with coconut palms, this protectedbeachhas a calm shoal and small breakers. It is ideal for good swimming and walking and is considered the bestbeachfor boogie boarding or body surfing.

 

MIMI BAY

A narrow, sandy flatbeachthat is secluded. Excellent for swimming and sunning.

 

SANDY HILL BAY

A good spot for an early morning swim. With no surf, it is shoal protected. Good for walking and snorkeling.

 

FOREST BAY

Very shallow water and great view are the main attributes of this beach. It also features arestaurantat the eastern and provides for interesting snorkeling.

Smallbeachwith great snorkeling opportunities.

Smallbeachprotected on all sides, which is considered good for swimming and boating.

COVE BAY

This long and peacefulbeachhas moderate surf and is perfect for walking, sunning and swimming.

 

SHOAL BAY WEST

Spectacularly beautiful and private, thisbeachis good for swimming and snorkeling.

 

CAPTAINS BAY

On the Atlantic side of the island, this secludedbeachis broad, sandy and steep. It offers the perfect location to witness spectacular sunsets. Also has a heavy surf and undertow.

SHOAL BAY EAST

The most popularbeachin Anguilla, thisbeachis lined with small resorts andbeachbars. There is also a reef filled with fish and coral a short distance from the beach.

 

KATOUCHE BAY

Small rockybeachat the bottom of Anguilla’s “ rain forest”.

 

LIMESTONE BAY

A secluded beach, this is a known nesting spot for sea turtles and iguana. Good for sunning and photographs. Swimming or snorkeling at Limestone Bay is not recommended due to its heavy surf and undertow.  

LITTLE BAY

Surrounded by steep cliffs with very small, secluded beaches. Accessible via boat. Good swimming; exceptional for snorkeling.

 

CROCUS BAY

Great for swimming or snorkeling, shallow water filled with reef fish and coral; swim to Little Bay or catch a small boat for US$10.

 

SANDY GROUND

A long curvedbeachlined with cliffs located in the village of Sandy Ground. Sandy Ground is famous for its nightlife and is home to several popular restaurants including the Pump House, Johnno's, Ripples and Barrel Stay.

 

PRICKLEY PEAR CAY

A popular stop for sailboats and snorkel trips, this spot also features two restaurants.

 

LONG BAY

A quiet beach, which is ideal for sunbathing.

 

MEADS BAY

One of the longest beaches on the islands, this area is quiet and pristine. Good for swimming and snorkeling.

 

BARNES BAY

Accessible by climbing down a hand-railed crag. White sands, gentle surf and good snorkeling are characteristic of this beach.

 

WEST END BAY

Tiny rockbeachgood for hiking and fishing.
